A Lady in her 20s

Creating a path for others to follow…

I’m excited to go on this journey with you all.

My name is Joy Fashagba. I’m a ghostwriter and makeup artist based in Abuja, Nigeria. I’m currently taking an MBA program, and I also have a book club with about 15 members.

I love storytelling so much that if you check my posts, you can see and feel it. I love how much power and emotion writers can put into words to connect with readers to create a desired reaction.

You know, those little kids that were quite brilliant and outspoken. They desired greatness even if they had no full understanding of it, but when they watch Oprah speak, or someone else do something exceptional, they say to themselves, “I want to be like that.”

That was me as a kid but then life happens. You grow, gain new experiences, get too scared to dream big like the kid who didn’t care about unseen obstacles, and totally forget those wishes you made as a kid, but in every stage of your life, you still find yourself trying to be outstanding.

And that’s why I’m here. I let go of fear and went straight for what I wanted. Well, I’m still doing that, and that’s a win, but I don’t want to go on this journey without sharing my story with people who need motivation to mute fear and ‘live.’

There are days when I find myself in situations where I wonder why I took this long road, but it’s fulfilling and more exciting.

That’s the real definition of who I am: The girl who is actively creating the life she wants irrespective of what happens and how she feels. I love this part of me that is willing to explore every opportunity that comes her way. I hope you do that too.

Let’s go!
