Energy Medicine

Energy healing is a practice based on the concept that all muscles and organs of the body are one energetically connected system. If we understand our bodies as an ecosystem, we understand the connectedness of all things.

For an ecosystem to be healthy, there needs to be free-flowing energy in all directions. Think of your own energetic system as a ‘figure eight.’ So long as there are no blockages in the system, energy is free-flowing in all directions in a crossover pattern.

But sometimes there are disruptions in the pattern, creating for us feelings of malaise, anxiety, depression, or simply just feeling ‘off our game.’ If these disruptions go unaddressed, illness ensues. Energy healing is an effective tool to open those channels of blocked energy before they become manifest in the physical body.

Certainly, there are cases in which medical intervention is necessary, but for most, those feelings of malaise are simply an imbalance of energy. The issue here is most likely a shift in the energetic system to a ‘homolateral’ flow (straight up and down) due to a clog in the pipes. What we need to do is clear the clog in the system to restore the proper flow of energy to a healthy ‘crossover’ pattern, free flowing in all directions. It can be a real game changer.

Donna Eden, one of the world’s most renowned and sought-after authorities on the subject, developed her own method of healing by using nine ancient energetic systems of The Auric Field, Meridians, The Five Rhythms, Celtic Weave, The Chakra System, The Grid, Radiant Circuits, The Triple Warmer, and Electromagnetics. to heal her own body of MS.

Quite a tall order, yes? Well, this lady is a force to be reckoned with. She shares her energetic secrets all around the world, teaching simple techniques for increasing joy and boosting the immune system for better health of the body, mind, and spirit!

I would like to share with you now one of her simple techniques for calming the ‘Triple Warmer.’ This energetic meridian controls our fight, flight, or freeze response. This meridian is our survival mechanism. It also manages our immune system and impacts our ability to manage stress. A biggie in today’s world!

Start by sitting comfortably, upright in a chair…feet flat on the floor.

-Rub your hands together briskly, then shake them out.

-Place your hands sideways over your eyes (fingertips together with palms facing your ears) and take a deep breath…in through the nose, out the mouth.

-Pull your fingertips gently toward your ears, landing on your temples, then rub gently.

-Slide your hands up to the top of your head to your crown chakra. Gently pull your fingers apart while tracing the center of your scalp, making your way slowly to the back of your head.

-Gently rub the bones behind your ears, then slide your fingers down both sides of your neck while continuing a pulling motion away from the back of your neck to the front of your throat.

-Now rest your hands over your heart…Deep breath in, then out.

-Finish by connecting both hemispheres of the brain/body complex by placing your right hand on the left shoulder and pull down, crossing the body to the right hip. Repeat on the opposite side. Do this crossover technique about ten times.

Now, while still seated, lift one knee, and slap the top of it with the opposite hand. Do this ten times on each side.

-To complete the cycle, trace a figure eight pattern along the front of your body. –

-Start at the top of your head, down to the shoulder, across the body to the opposite hip, looping around the abdomen to the other hip, and back across the body to the other shoulder, then back to the top of the head. Repeat 5 or 6 times.

Now, you are ready to tackle the day!

I do these simple crossover techniques with my daughter as a part of our daily routine. It keeps her anxiety in check and is a wonderful way for us to stay in touch and keep our energetic systems flowing freely from any clog in the pipes! Happy plumbing!
